AAUP Academics Participate in Evaluating Student Projects in the Schools of the Directorate of Education in Jenin

A distinguished group of academics from the Faculties of Information Technology and Engineering at the Arab American University participated in evaluating student projects at the Palestine Science and Technology Exhibition organized by the Directorate of Education in Jenin.

This participation comes in the context of the ongoing cooperation between the two faculties and the local community institutions with the aim of raising the status of knowledge among students and providing them with continuous guidance.

AAUP Holds a Workshop on Programming

The Faculties of Engineering and Information Technology at the Arab American University held a workshop entitled “A Dose of Programming” in cooperation with the Knowledge Academy, attended by a group of students and faculty members.

The workshop was inaugurated with the presence of the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Dr. Hazem Khanfar, and the Dean of the Faculty of Information Technology, Dr. Muhammad Mar’i. The workshop dealt with the design of user interfaces, their basics and its importance in the current era as well as the concept of API. The workshop also dealt with comprehensive plans for students who want to develop their programming skills, and the common programming mistakes among students in addition to self-marketing for services and freelancing.

AAUP’S Hassib Sabbagh IT Center of Excellence Holds the First Challenge of Its Kind in Palestine, entitled "Women in Engineering"

The Hassib Sabbagh IT Center of Excellence at the Arab American University held the event and challenge, the first of its kind in Palestine entitled “Women in Engineering”.

Dr. Mays Awwad, the director of the Hassib Sabbagh IT Center of Excellence at the University, said: “The idea of the challenge is to be an opportunity to present innovative and pioneering ideas and solutions to the problems that will be presented on the day of the competition. The challenge will be launched for all teams to find the most appropriate and applicable solutions in a creative, pioneering manner and the Center will offer financial rewards to the first three teams after going through the experience of presenting ideas and being judged by jury committees.
