The Faculty of Sport Sciences established based on the urgent need for qualified competencies to develop sports education and training at all levels and in alignment with the scientific development of Sport Sciencess in developed countries.
Based on focusing on quality in the qualified graduates, the department had determine the number of admissions per year that commensurate with its plans and educational goals. The department gives bachelor's degrees in the specialization of "Sport Sciences" to meet the urgent need of qualified personals and to graduate specialized personals capable of working in various sports fields such as clubs, sports federations, fitness and health centers, and military institutions, as well as in teaching fields at different levels of education.
In interest of the university in providing an educational and research environment suitable for all students and faculty staff. It worked to provide many modern sport facilities and sites where it recently completed construction and equipping multi-purpose gym, and an international sports stadium Asian certified, semi-Olympic swimming pool, indoor and outdoor fields and stadiums, weight gym, tennis courts, squash and badminton.
The faculty seeks to become one of the best faculties of Sport Sciences and physical education at the local, regional and global levels in fields of university education, scientific research and community service. In addition to contributing with development of sports movement in Palestine in cooperation with various educational and sports institutions such as the Ministry of Education, the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, Palestinian Olympic Committee, sports federations and sports clubs.
