The Alumni Affairs Organize an Introductory Workshop About " Linkedin "

Department of Alumni Affairs at the Deanship of Student Affairs at Arab American University organized an introductory workshop about LinkedIn presented by the Vice President for Planning and Development Dr. Muath Sabha for student graduates at the university.

The workshop started with Bilal Al-Ashqar, Head of Alumni Affairs Department, welcoming Dr. Muath Sabha, assuring the importance of creating an account on LinkedIn for graduates who are searching for a job with the necessity of professionalism in dealing with this important site not only to seek jobs but also to develop skills and gain experience.

Dr. Muath Sabha explained that LinkedIn is the first professional site in which we can offer our expertise to others in a professional manner. He also advised the graduate students to use LinkedIn for searching for a job, assuring the opportunities that will increase as we increase our ability to display our skills and experience on this network since many companies in the world advertise their jobs via LinkedIn exclusively.

As he talked about how to create an account via LinkedIn which is one of the most important tools to access the labor market internationally and regionally, Dr. Sabha provided a practical tips that will help creating a strong account starting with the need to develop a professional image through how to write the title and goal of the account holder and the summary, including work experience and skills, recommendations then documenting training courses, certificates and volunteering experiences.
