Students from the University Participates in "Youth Role in Building Knowledge-Based Economy" Workshop

Students Ali Swahra and Abdel Salam Mansour from the Faculty of Engineering and IT participated in the workshop held by Palestine Trade Center (PalTrade) in Jericho, titled “Youth role of in Building Knowledge-Based Economy” for two days, with participation of many students and representatives of Palestinian universities. Aiming to enhance the universities students’ knowledge and direct them to develop graduation projects that address our priorities as Palestinians. They were divided into concentrated groups to get creative ideas for possible graduation projects, in order to facilitate and develop the export process.

The workshop, presented by Shawqi Mahtoub and Shadi Shaheen from the Palestinian Trade Center, addressed Palestinian market general condition and the importance of enhancing export in developing the national economy, also focusing on Palestine’s most significant exports and the exporting challenging obstacles. Moreover, representing export success stories of; Khaizoran Medical Herbs and Royal Industrial Trading Company to meet with participants and review their experiences and success in reaching international markets.

Head of Alumni Affairs Department and the university representative in this project Belal Al-Ashqar thanked the Palestinian Trade Center Administration, for this opportunity for the university students, which reflects positively on the youth contribution to solving real problems with their graduation projects that’s linked to the Palestinian export sector challenges. Also provide important networking opportunities for these students.
