Alumni Affairs Dept. at Arab American University along with the Deanship of Student Affairs hosted a graduate and an employee at the university in internal auditing department Mr. Waseem Abu Jabal, in a workshop attended by a number of university students to learn from his professional experience in entering the labor market.
The head of Alumni Affairs Department Mr. Bilal Al Ashqar welcomed the attendees, and said that the University is proud of its graduates and its constant efforts to follow up with their professional development. The graduates of the university proved themselves in the labor market. They received high positions in most companies and institutions, and this is a role model for current students, from here came the idea of hosting graduates periodically.
Mr. Waseem Abu Jabal talked about his experience in the labor market, explaining the importance of developing skills according to the new requirements of the market. self-development is the first task for those who are looking for a distinguished job, especially in light of the great challenges faced by graduates with the continuous rise in unemployment rates.
Abu Jabal also reviewed his experience in writing a CV, and showed the students how to deal with the recruitment exams in the various institutions and companies. He also discussed his experience in interviews, noting the importance for well preparing and collecting information about the company before the interview to appear professional and win the job opportunities offered.
