Storytelling Competition - Registration Form

As part of the celebration of Arab American University in its 20^th anniversary, and under collaboration and partnership with the Ministry of Higher Education, a Storytelling Competition will be organized. This Competition will be for school students (males and females) for the high school grades (10^th, 11^th, 12^th).

The Competition Idea:

Participation with story about the student’s life at the Arab American University.

Competition Terms and Conditions:

1. The competition targets students of grades (10-11-12).
2. Avoid direct and rhetorical essay language
3. The writings include references to the Arab American University
4. Consideration of depth and imagination as two important elements of Storytelling
5. The storytelling include the student / participant’s data (name, grade, school, directorate, registration code) and be stamped with the school or directorate seal.

Competition Stages:

First - the Registration Stage

Registration will be available from Jan. 28^th, 2021 – Feb. 20^th,2021 as participants need to fill the required information and make sure that the information they enter are correct especially the phone number that will be used to contact participants on.

Second – Sending the Registration Code and Announcing the Beginning of the Competition

After registration, Arab American University will contact the participants and will send a registration code for each participant through (SMS) to the phone number that participants entered in the registration form. So as to write the registration code on the storytelling as well as the name, grade, school, Directorate.

Third – the Actual Participation and Drawing Submission

The participation in the storytelling competition and submitting it to the directorate from Feb. 21^th, 2021 – Feb. 28^th,2021.

Prizes:

• The first place winners: a laptop for the student, and a package of sports, scientific or artistic equipment for the winner student's school.
   
• The second place winners: a laptop for the student.
   
• The third place to the 7^th place winners: a tablet for each student.
   
• For winners, Arab American University will provide them a 50% scholarship for the whole study period, according to the regulations and instructions of the scholarships in AAUP.

Celebration:

A celebration will be organized in Arab American University campus to hand the winners their prizes.
