The course is divided into three parts. The first part covers the development of money from commodities to electronic money, the value of money measuring the quantity of money (money supply), the exchange rate system and what determines the exchange rate. The second part covers all aspects of commercial, Islamic and central banks as well as other financial institutions. Finally, monetary theories as well as monetary policy in brief using ISLM models.
