This course provides a foundation in fixed-income and introduces students to the theoretical and practical aspects of investing in fixed-income securities and hedging risk. Topics covered include types and features of fixed-income securities, risks of fixed-income securities, bond market indexes, interest rate structures and risks, money market instruments, corporate and government bonds and international bond markets. Special emphasis will be placed on the tools and techniques used for valuation of a wide variety of fixed-income securities
