040213341 MEDICAL COMMUNICATIONS SKILLS ( 2 Crd.Hrs )

Pre-Requisites : 040212241

Medical Communication Skills aims to equip future dentists with the skills necessary to communicate effectively with patients. The course goes step-by-step through the parts of a typical consultation: receiving the patient, presenting complaints, past medical history, examinations, explanations, treatment, and closing the consultation. While doing this, the course seeks to cultivate a holistic approach to medical care in which the dentist treats the patient as a whole (physical, emotional, and social) person. Additionally, the course aims to improve students’ English fluency with practice in the four skills (listening, speaking, reading, and writing) as well as in vocabulary and grammar.Â
