Pre-Requisites : 100211620

This course will cover the basic molecular biological pathways including: The structure of chromatin, Genome organisation at the DNA level, Gene organisation, Gene amplification, loss, and rearrangement, The control of gene expression, The molecular biology of cancer, Cancer cells have escaped from the cell-cycle control systems, Cancer results from genetic changes that affect the cell cycle, Multiple mutations underlie the development of cancer. In addition, the genetic basis of development including the development of single cell to multicellular organisms, The study of development, the differential gene expression, and the genetic and cellular mechanisms of pattern formation will be also discussed.
