It provides a comprehensive and yet, concise account of the important feature of disease and to link, where possibly, the pathological changes with effects on the patients. This will help students to understand disease in the individual patient. It focuses on the characteristics and manifestations of disease caused by alteration to functions of the body. It includes basic mechanisms of diseases and selected common disorders of the following systems: endocrine, hematology, cardiovascular, respiratory, urinary, digestive and nervous system. This pathophysiology course is arranged to explain and demonstrate to pharmacy students the compensatory adjustments of the different system in the body during different types of diseases.
