This course is divided into two fields: enzymology and metabolism. The first field, explains the specificity of enzymes (biochemical catalysts), and the chemistry involved in enzyme action. The second field explains how the metabolism of glucose leads ultimately to the generation of large quantities of ATP, in addition to explaining the major metabolic pathways of living organisms.
