The course examines the role of business research and provides an overview of commonly used qualitative and quantitative research methods. Topics covered include scientific inquiry, the research process, proposal development, research design, hypothesis testing, primary and secondary data collection, statistical data analysis and presentation of research reports. The objective of this course is to introduce students to methods of research that they can then use throughout their career. Students will understand the principles of research, learn the practical aspects of research, link the research process with theories in their field of study, and acquire the skills to collect, analyze, interpret and present data that supports their conclusions.
