This course explores the intercultural and cross-cultural dimensions of interpersonal communication. Emphasis is placed on communication theories and techniques used in interpersonal group, public, intercultural, and mass communication situations. The course provides opportunities to analyze communication in various institutional settings, as well as to use conceptual tools in order to identify and solve communication problems. Theoretical work will be supported by workshops held by international staff which will highlight the communicative codes used in different cultures.
