This course provides an overview of the theories, concepts and models of public policy making and the role of the leader in formulating public policy. Topics covered include public policy and politics, government institutions and policy actors, policy analysis and alternatives, economic and budgetary policy, environmental and energy policy and public policy issues in education, healthcare and welfare. Emphasis will be placed on the leadership challenges of creating and implementing successful public policies
