This course provides a study of the concept of consumer protection and its rights, and the provisions contained in the Palestinian Consumer Protection Law and its implementation regulations in terms of: persons (consumer and provider) and subject matter, consumer protection rules (duty to inform, enlighten and warn, deceptive and misleading advertising, combat abusive conditions, thinking period, right of return and the replacement or the repairment of a commodity). The course also covers the bodies responsible for implementing the Consumer Protection Law, and the overlap of this law with other relevant laws such as the Standards and Metrology Law, the Public Health Law, and the Penal Law.
