The graduate student will gain knowledge about advanced procedures and concepts related to dental implants. The objectives will be for the graduate student to be able to read, interpret and critically review the classical and recent literature describing (1) the guided bone regeneration, (2) the soft tissue management, (3) the advanced surgical, prosthetic and restorative considerations for the partially and fully edentulous patient, (4) the peri-implantitis ; (5) the surgical placement of implants in the periodontally compromised patients, and (6) the management of severely atrophic maxilla and mandible.
