This course provides an overview of the concepts, principles and theoretical foundations of financial management. Topics covered include the financial environment, financial statements, cash flows and taxes, analysis of financial statements, time value of money, bonds, bond valuation and interest rates, risk and return, corporate valuation and stock valuation and financial options. Special emphasis will be placed on the relationship between finance and accounting and how students can use this knowledge in financial management and investments.
