This course designed to provide the student with the basic skills, of fundamentals in nursing and health assessment, practicing the nursing care plan, assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation processes. It continues to cover the fundamentals of nursing care regarding to client’s body systems. Students will be able to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing strategies in order to meet clients’ needs using nursing process as a framework This course is designed for delivering high quality and safe nursing practice, which is imperative for every nurse. The QSEN competencies introduced through the course of fundamental and health assessment to address the gap between nursing education and practice. Nursing students are expected to achieve the six QSEN competencies that include (patient centered care, teamwork and collaboration, evidenced based practice, safety, quality improvement and informatics) through lab skills and use them in their professional role as RN
