This course aims to provide students with some knowledge and information about the physiological changes that occur to the body’s organs during the performance of physical activity, with a special focus on the response and adaptation to each of (the nervous system, the muscular system, the circulatory system, the respiratory system). Moreover, the course covers the energy production systems in the field of athleticism, provides information about maximum oxygen consumption, partial pressures of gases, gas exchange in the alveoli, and oxygen debt and deficit.
