This course provides instruction in the anatomy, physiology, and pathology of the cardiovascular system. Instruction focuses on cardiac and vascular structural anatomy and relationships, electrical innervation, embryology, and hemodynamics of the heart and vascular system. It includes etiology, pathology, signs, symptoms, risk factors, treatment and possible prevention of cardiovascular diseases. More emphasis is put on some common cardiovascular diseases, as hypertension, ischemic heart disease and arrhythmia.
