200253210 NEUROSCIENCE SYSTEM ( 7 Crd.Hrs )

This system-based course provides a broad-based foundation in neuroscience including both the theoretical background and research experience at the interface between neuroscience and psychobehaviour. Students will develop an understanding of the cross-disciplinary field of neuroscience by study of major neuroscience topics including neuroanatomy, neurophysiology, neurological correlation, neuropharmacology, neuropathology, microbiology, and biochemistry. By the end of this course, students will build solid understanding of the structure and function of the nervous system at a scale ranging from molecular through cellular processes up to the level of whole body function in health states, and in diseases.
