This course aims at introducing students to the fundamental principles underlying the Internet of Things (IOT) field. Students will learn how to integrate software tools and applications with hardware components that are necessary for building IoT applications in specialized domains such as building smart management systems in the water sector and other practical domains. Topics including sensors and actuators, smart devices, cloud computing, data sensing and mining, radio frequency identification (RFID) will be discussed in this course. Students will get hands on experience required for developing and simulating various IoT-based solutions that simulate real-world scenarios.
