In this course, students will learn about the surveying science including the area and its divisions and its importance as well as the identification of modern equipment and devices and their use to measure the spaces and distances, angles and directions and elevations for horizontal and vertical mapping . The course also examines the concept and the basics of global positioning systems (GPS) and their use measure locations and elevations within various ranges of accuracy and errors. The course will also focus on basics of the geometry of aerial cameras/sensors, planning photogrammetric surveys, steps in photogrammetric data extraction, and photogrammetric uses of GPS.
