Arab American University got ”Run Smarter Award for the Best Students Services” by Laserfiche company. It is worth mentioning that this company is considered one of the major international companies in the field of document management, and process automation, besides the electronic archiving. The award donors have stated:" This award is a fruit of the administration vision of the Arab American University, which implements the international computerized systems that develop the university's services. These are offered to students, employees and the relevant authorities. Moreover, this implementation is conducted in the best and most effective way in the university, which comes in line with international criteria in this field. It is worth mentioning that Arab American university has been a pioneer in applying the human system” Microsoft Dynamics ERP”; which is an international system for finance and administration. Thus, Arab American University is presented as a role-model university, among universities in the region. On the other hand, the awards donors, who are a committee of executive administrators, had selected the winners based on certain criteria, which are: the creativity, the operational improvements, using software from Laser Fish Company, the potential and inspiring other company clients.
They also stated that this international award will have many advantages on Arab American University. Being connected with hundreds of organizations around the world, for example, will enable the university from exchanging experiences in the field of electronic archiving. Being granted such an international award resulted from our effort on the ongoing development, which also comes in line with those criteria that are used in international institutions, particularly the academic ones’.
The president also thanked the Council of the university administration, represented by the Chairman of the Council Dr. Yousif Asfour, for their continuous support. He also praised their eagerness to develop the university so that it surpasses its counterparts in the developed countries.
Dr. Asfour added that this award came as a result of the great efforts that is made by the staff of the office of the President Assistant for Information Technology. Since they keep up with the latest international electronic programs, which contributes in managing and improving the quality of academic and administrative processes, so as to provide better services for students, staff. etc...
