The Arab American University has participated in a scientific symposium on the reality of the work of journalism and journalists at times of crises and wars in Morocco.
The scientific symposium was organized by the “Bayt Mal Al-Quds Al-Sharif Agency” in the Moroccan capital, Rabat, on the sidelines of the distribution of awards for the second session of the “Al-Quds Al-Sharif Award for Journalistic Excellence in Development Media,” which went under the name of the late Moroccan journalist Mohamed Al Agdhaf Al Dah.
The University was represented by Dr. Said Abu Mualla, lecturer at the Faculty of Modern Media and Head of the Digital Media Department, who presented a research paper on “Challenges and Prospects of the Palestinian Journalism at Times of Conflicts and Wars,” in which he presented an exploration of the factors that obstruct the mission of Palestinian journalists in covering events during conflicts and wars, as well as an analysis of the security, political and social challenges affecting the freedom of the press and the safety of journalists.
Five academicians from Moroccan and Palestinian universities participated in the scientific symposium titled: “The reality of journalism and journalists in conflict zones, Jerusalem and Palestine as a model.”
