As part of the Asian basketball championship
The Palestinian Basketball federation and Arab American University both discussed the needed preparations for the final game between the Palestinian team “Al Feda’i” against Sri Lanka team among the basketball qualifiers of the Asian basketball championship.
The Head of the Palestinian basketball federation giving Eng. Asfour the shirt of Al Feda’i team as a national symbolic gift to express his appreciation for the efforts that AAUP does in supporting the Palestinian sports in general and the basketball sport in specific.
Mr. Ibrahim Habash- the Head of the Palestinian Basketball Federation visited AAUP and Eng. Bara Asfour- the Assistant to the President was in his reception along with Mr. Fathi Imour- the Public Realtions Manager, Mr. Islam Abbas- a member of the federation and a professor in the Faculty of Sport Sciences in AAUP and Mr. Uday Daragmeh- the Director of Sports Facilities in AAUP.
Logistical, media and propaganda issues were discussed during the meeting, aiming to reflect a great image of Palestine, its national team and its capabilities to host international Asian games on its land.

AAUP _in Sport Hall –jenin_ will be hosting the first home game for Al Feda’i team in Palestine, against the Sri Lanka team, on Monday Feb. 24th, 2020
The Sport Hall in AAUP is considered to be the only “home court field” for Al Feda’i team that is accredited by the Asian Federation for Basketball as it was established according to the international standards and specifications of the Basketball.
