The Board of Directors of the Arab American University decided, in its session held today, Wednesday, May 23, to continue its work on the comprehensive digital transformation plan, as a continuation of the efforts being made to reach an integrated digital university.

This decision falls within the vision of the university's board of directors, board of trustees, and its supreme administration to provide quality educational and administrative services to all parties benefiting from the university's services in a way that responds to the global trends towards promoting digital transformation in the work environment at all levels.
Through preparing the comprehensive digital transformation plan, the university seeks to improve efficiency and productivity, reduce administrative errors, facilitate access to information, improve communication and interaction between all relevant parties, and promote innovation, creativity, and expansion in the fields of scientific research.
The plan comprises enhancing the use of modern technology, advanced devices and services, and artificial intelligence technologies to serve students, academic and administrative staff, and suppliers, in addition to using the most recent technologies in scientific and medical laboratories and scientific research.
The Chairman of the University Board of Directors, Dr. Yousef Asfour, stated that AAUP seeks to improve the experience of students and administrative and academic staff by investing in the comprehensive digital transformation. He added, "We are aware that comprehensive digital transformation represents a great challenge for the university, but we are confident that it will have a significant positive impact on all entities associated with the university."
Dr. Asfour stressed that AAUP will work on preparing the plan as soon as possible and invest in information and communication technology to achieve this goal. He said, "We will ensure the provision of the necessary training and support to students, academics and administrative staff for the success of the digital transformation strategy and to achieve maximum benefit from it with all relevant parties."
It is worth noting that the Arab American University is organizing the first international conference on digital transformation in June. This conference will host a group of local and international experts and specialists in the various fields of digital transformation. It will also shed light on the most important achievements and aspirations in Palestine, and review the best practices in the fields of digital transformation at the global level and how to employ them locally in various sectors.
