The Arab American University is completing its preparations to hold the first global conference on digital transformation in mid-June, under the auspices of His Excellency the President of the State of Palestine, Mahmoud Abbas "Abu Mazen", may Allah protect him.
Prof. Dr. Waleed Deeb, the Academic Adviser to the Board of Directors of the Arab American University, stated that the conference will be distinguished by the topics it presents, the partnerships that are being worked on, the national and international mobilization that is being arranged, in addition to the recommendations that we look forward to coming up with, which will have a constructive impact on the digital transformation process.
The conference will address a range of topics in various areas of digital transformation, such as digital economy, arbitration and health, education and e-government services among others. National and global mobilization is being worked on including local partners from Palestinian universities, ministries, various public departments and institutions in Palestine, the private sector, aside with international partners concerned with sponsoring digital transformation worldwide, including the International Telecommunication Union, he United Nations organizations that support digital transformation in the Arab region, represented by the United Nations Economic and Social Group in Western Asia (ESCWA).
The conference falls within the framework of the events of "Jerusalem, the Arab Digital Capital 2023", which was approved by the Council of Arab Communications Ministers at its last meeting in the Arab League, where this effort is being coordinated with the Palestinian Ministry of Telecommunications and Information Technology.
During the conference, important success experiences in the digital transformation of services provided in various sectors will be presented, as well as the way to develop these services and benefit from them at the national level.
The organizers of the conference are arranging balanced partnerships with the private sector in Palestine, including providers of technologies, technical services, banking sectors as well as other sectors.
Experts and specialized researchers at the Arab American University will shed light on the experiences, opportunities and challenges that escort digital transformation and what technologies are relied on in this field, such as various computing sciences, data science and artificial intelligence.
The Arab American University has a range of very modern specializations that serve digital transformation in Palestine. These specializations were designed to provide the Palestinian market with contemporary expertise at the Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctoral levels, including: Bachelor of Digital Marketing, Bachelor of Digital Health, Bachelor of Digital Media, Bachelor of Digital Economy, Bachelor of Political Science and Digital Diplomacy; Master’s programs in Digital Economy, Political Science and Digital Diplomacy, in addition to a Doctoral program to be offered in the next semester in Digital Diplomacy.
