A diplomatic delegation of representatives from Norway, Austria, Belgium, Malta, France, Italy, Czech, Slovenia and the UN visited Arab American University to learn about its faculties, academic programs and educational and research centers, and to discuss continuous collaboration and future academic joint relations with universities and educational centers in these countries.
Prof. Ali Zeidan Abu Zuhri- the University President, Dr. Dalal Iriqat- the VP for International Relations, Dr. Muayad Abu Saa- the VP for Academic Affairs, Prof. Mohammad Asia- the VP for the Medical Schools Affairs, Dr. Adli Saleh- the University Advisor for Planning and Development Affairs and Dr. Fadi Jumaa- the Public Relations Manager were in the reception of the European delegation.
Prof. Abu Zuhri talked about the establishment of Arab American University, its vision and academic mission, its role in the community and its academic programs in the undergraduate and graduate levels, and he explained how the university adopt international teaching and academic styles and how it aims to graduate qualified students who are capable to meet the needs of the Palestinian labor market, and to work in the regional and international market as well.
Dr. Iriqat talked about the joint partnerships between Arab American University and the global and European universities, and explained how AAUP always seeks to develop new academic, research and cultural relations with the different European and American universities by offering modern and contemporary programs that are taught jointly and by the academic, student and experience mobility.
The representatives and ambassadors of the delegation expressed their happiness by this visit to Arab American University and emphasized that they saw a modern university that has many distinguish academic programs in addition to laboratories equipped with the best international educational facilities, in addition to a model campus for student life.
The delegation had a tour around the campus and visited the dentistry, the medical and nursing clinics and laboratories, and the sport village and halls and listened to the Deans of the Faculties talking about the teaching styles and programs in their faculties.
