Under Joint Collaboration with the Consulate General of Italy and the Ministry of Culture
Arab American University under collaboration with the Consulate General of Italy and the Ministry of Culture has organized a fair for the Italian artist Vico Magistretti and the Palestinian artist Victor Ghattas in the Interior Design, and the work of the interior design students in AAUP.
With the attendance of the Counsel General of the Consulate General of Italy in Palestine, Mr. Giuseppe Fedele, Ms. Marina Sereni – the Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Italy, Mr. Atef AbuSaif- the Minister of Culture, Prof. Mohammad Asia- the VP for the Medical Schools Affairs, Eng. Bara Asfour- the Assistant to the President of AAUP, some of the faculty members of the Interior Design Program in AAUP and students of the program and some staff of the General Consulate of Italy.
The fair that was organized in Arab American University- Ramallah Campus contained some works and designs for the Italian artist Vico Magistretti and the Palestinian artist Victor Ghattas in the Interior Design. At the side of the fair, there was also some presenting of the work of the Interior Design students of AAUP who study in the program of Interior Design under collaboration with the Academy of Fine Arts of Verona – Italy. Students had the opportunity to present their work that had the admiration of the guests.
The Counsel General of the Consulate General of Italy, the Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Italy and the Minister of Culture showed their interest and admiration of the works of the Interior Design students and assured on the importance to support those students, and praised the role of AAUP and what it provides to its students in this program as this program is really of great importance and has a great impact on the labor market locally and internationally.
Prof. Mohammad Asia- the VP for Medical Schools Affairs emphasized on the role of AAUP in developing and opening new programs to support the labor market with professional graduates who can work and improve the market after their graduation.
