The Faculty of Graduate Studies in Arab American University has organized a workshop under collaboration with the Palestinian Association of Certified Public Accountants (PACPA) in PACPA place in Ramallah. The workshop was entitled “Work Ethics in the Auditing Profession” and it targeted students of the Master in Accounting and Auditing as part of the course Business Ethics.
Mr. Jamal Mulhem- the Head of the PACPA, Mr. Bilal Faris- a member of the Associaton and Dr. Firas Murar- the Professor of the Business Ethics course in the Faculty all lectured in this workshop as they talked about the behavior of the auditors, the international standards related to the ethics of this profession and the role that the association does in helping auditors get their professional certificates.
Dr. Shahinaz Najjar- the Dean of the Faculty of Graduate Studies in AAUP said that this workshop was part of the plan of the Faculty that aims to enhance the partnership relations with the organizations that their field is related to the programs of the faculty. She added that such workshops help in connecting the theoretical part of the course with the practical parts in the labor environment and this will enhance the abilities of our students to fulfill the market needs and will give them competitive spirit after graduating.
