With the participation of some of the Palestinian universities, Arab American University organized a workshop funded by the European Union Erasmus+ to develop learning materials among “TESLA” project. This workshop is one of the workshop series in the developing stage in this project.
Participants discussed the developing of three learning materials of subjects taught in the participated Palestinian universities which are related to Physics, the Geography of Palestine and Biology courses, using the Virtual Reality technology. The participants also presented what they have accomplished concerning the analyzing and designing of learning materials and developing it amongst the areas of the project.
AAUP team including: the technical team of Dr. Ahmad Owais, Dr. Rami judrb and Dr. Muath Sabha, and the educational team of Dr. Mo’ayad Abu Saa’- the VP for Academic Affairs, Dr. Jacquleen Jubran and Mr. Sa’id Khasib will manage the developing stage of the learning materials.
TESLA is a project for capacity building that aims to combine the Virtual Reality technology with the educational process in the Higher Education sector in Palestine. The project will be a series of activities under European supervision and training to develop learning materials scenarios in the Palestinian universities, in addition to training workshops related to the technical issues for engineers and programmers to develop educational programs for students using the Virtual Reality technology. The learning materials that were developed using the Virtual Reality will be provided to university students to enable them to interact with the learning materials remotely.
