The head of the Palestinian Basketball Federation Mr. Ibrahim Habash, has announced that the AFC recognized the basketball court at the Sports hall in Jenin Campus, the “Home Stadium” to be the only it is the only national “home stadium” for the national Fedayeen team. Where it will hold all the matches of Fedayeen team of the sixth group, which will also include the Palestine team, the Jordanian teams, Kazakhstan and Sri Lanka team next November.

He added, We at the Palestinian Basketball Federation have worked with the AFC to recognize the basketball court at AAUP as a national home stadium for the Palestinian national team. As it has all the international standards adopted by the AFC, and stressed that the Palestinian Federation has met the requirements of AFC. He added that the city of Jenin and the university stadium will witness an Asian sports competition in November, to prove to the world that we are able to host and compete with international teams and on international standards, with the readiness of the Palestinian national team to play in the Asian Championship.
For his part, the Director of Sports Facilities at Arab American University, Mr. Oday Dragameh, expressed the University's appreciation of this recognition of its basketball court to be the only home stadium for the basketball team in Palestine, stressing that the basketball court has international specifications and standards, within the highest levels required by the International Federation and AFC for the establishment of international matches, and added that the stadium is ready to host all the matches of Fedayeen team of the sixth group, which will also include the Palestine team, the Jordanian teams, Kazakhstan and Sri Lanka team next November. The Palestinian national team will also participate in the Asian Championship in 2021.
AAUP is considered to be a main pillar for all the Palestinian sports federations and as it harnesses its sports facilities to serve Palestinian athletes and sports. AAUP will host Fedayeen matches in November, as it will support and encourage the Fedayeen basketball team, in order to achieve the best results internationally and specially in the world championship in Asia 2021.
