Azzam Al-ahmad- a Member of the Executive Committee of the Palestinian Liberation Organization and Fatah Central Committee visited Arab American University campus in Jenin on Saturday and was welcomed by Prof. Ali Zeidan Abu Zuhri- the University President and some faculty and administrative members of the university.

Prof. Abu Zuhri talked about the developments that the university is currently going through following its developmental strategic vision to open new programs and develop its infrastructure to accommodate the increasing number of students and to fulfill the needs of the education sector in Palestine. The latest achievements of AAUP were the Medicine school and the scholarships that the university provided for the first cohort of this program for the current academic year 2020 – 2021.
Al-ahmad commended the great development of the university and congratulated them on the Faculty of Medicine and the other new programs that are important to the education sector in Palestine and fulfill the local labor market needs, not only in jenin but in all the Palestinian governorates, especially that the university provides its educational services to the Palestinian people in the West Bank and inside the green line as well.
Al-ahmad also ensured that he supports the decisions of AAUP presidency that aims to accomplish more achievements and provide more services along with all other Palestinian universities.
