The Ph.D. researcher in the Educational Administration program, Fatima Ishtayeh Ghannam, defended her thesis which is entitled: "The Relationship between Organizational Loyalty and the Change Leadership among Palestinian School Principals: the Skill of Decision-Making as a Mediating Variable - A Proposed Model."
The study aimed at revealing the relationship between organizational loyalty and the leadership of change among all Palestinian school principals in Ramallah and Al-Bireh governorate, employing the descriptive-correlational approach.
The study presented a suggested model to activate the role of the skill of decision-making in developing the relationship between organizational loyalty and change leadership among school principals in Palestine. This model was developed based on a survey field study and qualitative data outputs for the focus group of school principals in Palestine, as well as measuring the need for this model from the school principles’ point of view.
The study recommended that the Ministry of Education follow an administrative approach based on change to develop the awareness of administrative leaders in the Ministry and its directorates of the concepts of change leadership and its significance before and during service. The study also recommended that the Ministry of education adopt the proposed model to activate the role of decision-making skill in developing the relationship between organizational loyalty and change leadership among school principals in Palestine.
The dissertation was supervised by Prof. Dr. Mohamad Shaheen and examined by Prof. Dr. Ahmed Battah, Prof. Dr. Wajih Thaher and Dr. Ghassan Sarhan.
