The Accounting Department in the Faculty of Administrative and Financial Sciences in Arab American University organized a workshop about “Financial and Banking Awareness” where it hosted Mrs. Fouz Abu Hijleh from Middle East Investment Initiative located in USA.
Mrs. Abu Hijleh talked about the Middle East Investment Initiative and its role in raising awareness and training university students aiming to prepare students to the labor market and compete for the limited positions.
Mrs. Abu Hijleh also talked about the financial inclusion concept, its importance and targets and its role in achieving financial stability and economic growth. She mentioned the role of the Monetary Authority and Capital Market Authority and the supervising organizations in enhancing the financial inclusion by providing the required infrastructure, supporting the mechanism of applying the financial inclusion and protecting the financial services consumers and developing the financial products that support the needs of the community and fulfill their financial culture.
Moreover, Mrs. Abu Hijleh described the bank account categories and the differences between them such as the commissions and cards issued, and the advantages and disadvantages of these cards.
