Hassib Sabbagh Center and under collaboration with the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology, Al Israa Programming Company, Spark Technical Consultancy and Professional Training Company and the IEEE have organized a workshop about the DocTech competition, which is a local competition available for all AAUP students to participate in and it aims to raise awareness in the local community about the importance of supporting the creative and pioneer projects. The participated teams compete to develop pioneer ideas and projects for applications and technological products in the health field.
Eng. Ahmad Fouad- the Director of Hassib Sabbagh Center opened the workshop by welcoming the guests, he then talked about the information technology role and its applications in developing the medical and health sector. Eng. Muhannad Hejawi- the General Manager of Spark presented some examples and practical experiments of how to connect the medical projects with technology. Mr. Sanad Malaysheh- from Dimensions Information Technology gave an explanation about the importance of the artificial intelligence in developing applications in the medical field, and how this helps in developing the performance of the medical sector in Palestine. In his turn, Mr. Said Hanani – the IEEE Director presented some of the details of the competition, the way to apply and participate in it and the training stage. This workshop was attended by representatives of the private sector, some faculty members and the interested students.
