Launching Events of the Second Phase of the Tesla Virtual Reality Project at the University

The second phase of the TESLA project was launched at the university, in the presence of representatives of the Palestinian universities participating in the project funded by the European Agency for Culture. The announcement came during a meeting with the technical team from the participating local universities.

The project, which also involves European universities aims to integrate virtual reality technology into the educational process in the Palestinian higher education sector.

The meeting included a presentation by Dr. Ahmed Awais from Arab American University where he discussed the practical plan for the second phase of the project, which will be managed by the university team to develop and construct a software based on virtual reality.

The tasks were distributed to the participating teams in the local universities and agreed on the role of each team to implement this phase of the project.

The project Manager from Al-Istiqlal University Mr. Fayez Abdel-Hafiz presented what is necessary for main books reference, which will be used by engineers and programmers in various Palestinian universities to develop virtual reality-based software.

The Palestinian and European universities participating in the project are: Al-Istiqlal University - Project Manager, Arab American University, Al Quds Open University, Palestine Polytechnic University in Hebron, Slovakia Agricultural University in Nitra - Slovakia, Patras University of Greece and Bucharest Polytechnic University of Romania.

Arab American University team participating in the project are: Dr. Ahmed Awais project coordinator at the university, and the technical team are Dr. Moath Sabha and Dr. Rami Hadrab, and the educational team, Dr. Moayad Abu Saa, Dr. Jacqueline Jubran, and Mr. Saed Khasib.

Arab American University during the past year has also participated in six training courses held in Petras City in Greek, Romania, Jericho, Nitra city in Slovak and the Greek Terraas.
