MBA Students Gathers in Open Meeting with Indiana University and AAUJ Delegation on the Business PhD Program with Indiana University

The Arab American University/ Faculty of Graduate Studies “Ramallah Campus” held a meeting regarding the joint Business PhD Program in partnership with the Indiana University in Pennsylvania, the first of its kind in Palestine.

The meeting included an open discussion in the presence of Dr. Prashanth Bhardwaj Assistant Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration at Indiana University, Pennsylvania, the Arab American University Academic Advisor Dr. Waleed Deeb, Dean of Faculty of Graduate Studies at the Arab American University Dr. Abdulrahman Abu Libda, some of the MBA program graduates, some public and private sector employees and those interested in the PhD program in Business Administration.

Dr. Prashanth spoke about the details of the joint program with Indiana University, which will be through a faculty members of the highest academic and professional level. On the other hand, Dr. Waleed Deeb had a word on the number of enrolled students in the program which will be exclusive to only 20 students, which is the allowed number by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education. The university will open registration for this program every two years for new students and explaining some of the important things about application acceptance; GMAT exam available at the Bethlehem University and held two times every month. Also there will be a live video training with the Indiana University staff.

Dr. Abdulrahman Abu Libdeh expressed his pride in our Palestinian youth aspirations towards knowledge and educational advancement. As for the courses, he explained that the program begins in October 2018 and will include 12 courses (8 courses taught by Indiana University and 4 courses taught by the Arab American University) in addition to the comprehensive examination and PhD thesis. In the end, the student will receive two degrees one from the Arab American University and one from the University of Indiana, with the possibility for students to participate their colleagues at Indiana University their graduation ceremony in the United States.
