The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Prof. Mahmoud Abu Mowais, visited the university to explore the latest academic and research development.

Prof. Abu Zuhri welcomed the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Prof. Dr. Abu Mowais, as he praised the great efforts of the Minister, while he gave an introduction about the latest achievements of the university, including its academic and research developments. Furthermore, an insight of future plans to open more new specializations concerning development, and further partnerships with international universities and scientific centers related to master's and doctoral programs.
He also assured that the university will work side by side with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to promote the higher education sector.
Prof. Abu Mowais during his visit met with the Vices and Assistants President of the University, along with the Deans of Faculties, the Trade Union, and the Student Council. He discussed that the ministry aims to focus on the quality of education to achieve excellence and uniqueness in its output, which as a result will positively impact the local market, and provide more opportunities for the graduates in the local, Arab and global labor markets, that prefer graduates holding competitive and professional skills.
He also added that “The university is considered to be one the Palestinian success stories that came true thanks for the Palestinian efforts and investors supports such as the University board of directors who were the leaders in contributing and investing in the Palestinian human resources and capabilities.
He added that the ministry works on integrating technical and vocational education to the Palestinian universities and provide educational centers that produces qualified and distinguished professionals in many vital areas according to the Palestinian and Arab labor market.
He added that the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research will continue to support scientific research in universities and enhance quality education to graduate capable and skilled graduates that qualified to enter local and international markets.
