Oracle International, one of the leading and most important information technology companies in the world, announced its participation in the first international conference on digital transformation, which is being held by the Arab American University in Ramallah.
The international conference will be held under the slogan: "Empowering Digital Future" under the auspices of His Excellency the Palestinian President, Mahmoud Abbas, on June 20.
The participation of Oracle International, which was founded in 1977 by Larry Ellison, is an important occurrence in Palestine in light of the nature of its specialized work, and its possession of a large number of customer service centers in more than 145 countries, including sectors related to the Palestinian technological and digital market.
Moreover, the fact that Oracle is one of the most important information technology and database companies as well as training and building highly specialized capabilities provided by the international company, its presence in the conference will enhance Palestinian and international dialogues about the future of teaching technologies related to digital transformation. Its presence is of particular importance in light of its great role in preparing qualified manpower in the fields of digital transformation.
The company will be presented in a special session at the conference, in which it will discuss the importance of the technologies it offers in building advanced database and cloud systems, as well as the role of the various Palestinian and international sectors in preparing students for the labor market in a rapidly changing future.
The session will review the most prominent challenges and opportunities related to guaranteeing that students are provided with the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in their future careers, with how to combine efforts between universities, companies, and government and civil sectors in building integration strategies, capacity building, and appropriate academic and professional preparation in an extremely changing world.
It is noteworthy that the preparations at the Arab American University are being constantly made, to prepare for the conference to ensure the participation of numerous international companies and organizations in the field of communications and information technology, in addition to the United Nations organizations and government agencies working in the field of digital transformation, in addition to a large group of researchers and experts in this field in the world and in Palestine.
The first international conference will be held, in close partnership with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, as it aims to discuss digital transformation and its prospects in Palestine and its overlap and impact on various sectors to reduce the digital gap compared to the leading countries in this field, and to benefit from all the opportunities offered by digital transformation at the national level in all sectors.
Holding this conference comes within the awareness of AAUP of the impact of technology and rapid digital development on scientific fields, which prompted it to adopt the integration of digital technology in the various scientific fields and academic programs it offers at all academic levels.
The conference will be held through four sessions: digital inclusion and bridging the digital gap, digital security and privacy, the role of government in advancing digital transformation, and the role of universities: the future of employment in the digital age.
