Arab American University welcomes the businessman from 1948 Palestinians Mr. Imad Talhami who visited the university to get to know it, check its academic achievements and discuss cooperation prospects.

A number of personas joined businessman Mr. Talhami in his visit; Representative of contacting 1948 Palestinian committee Mr. Anan Al Deek and CIM college manager Mr. Shadi Marjieh where AAUP President Prof. Dr. Ali Zedan Abu Zuhri welcomed them with Border of Directors Academic Consultant and founder President Prof. Dr. Waleed Deep, Vice President for Planning and Development Affairs Dr. Osama Salameh, Vice President for Training Affairs Dr. Nizam Diab, and both university president assistants for Administrative and Financial Affairs Mr. Faleh Abu Arra and for IT Affairs Mr. Bahgat Ayasi.
During the meeting, Prof. Dr. Abu Zuhri provided detailed explanation on the university’s establishments, goals, modern vision to improve higher education. Pointing, the university have 9 humanitarian, scientific and medical faculties, offering 35 bachelor degrees and 10 master specializations. Adding, university offers its students access to the latest educational technologies, provide model educational environment where university contains equipped laboratories with the latest educational tool such as patients simulators in Faculty of Nursing the only one here, advanced computer labs, modern library, and offering scholarships for outstanding students and financial assistance to students according to merit and need principle.
He told the guest on university’s academic and research achievements, its seek to fill local and regional labor market with qualified graduates by preparing them using modern sciences and various needed skills for labor market in cooperation with local and international organizations.
Dr. Abu Zuhri added, AAUP was and still a model for excellence and successful investment in higher education, it’s example to be followed and evidence Palestinian ability to build institutions, the pillar of future Palestinian state. Pointing, university carries great message, seeking to develop higher education sector by making qualitative leap in education and its modern teaching methods through international partnerships in many programs.
Mr. Talhami thanked the Arab American University for its reception, stressing on the university’s good academic reputation locally and regionally. He said “We’re proud of the university and its achieved excellence during the few last years, to become one of the most important Palestinian universities adopting modern teaching method comparable to international universities. He added, 1948 Palestinian labor market witnessed the university graduates excellence and competence”.
Adding, he established an incubator for Arab youth and a fund to finance their entrepreneurial projects. He said “Success stories are the pillar to build communities as it is motivation for other entrepreneurial ideas and guaranty to ably it as real productive projects”.
During his visit, Talhami took a tour in campus to check its faculties, various labs, training centers, development projects, current and future plans and got detailed explanation on AAU’s academic programs in bachelor and master.
Businessman Imad Talhami was born on 1959 in Asfya Village in the 1948 Palestine. He’s an academic in Business Administration, one the chosen 100 personalities positively affect our country’s economy, founder of both “babcom Centers” and “babcom Software” companies creating hundreds job opportunities for 1948 Palestinians. An active business man in the north of Palestine and Arab World. His work is concentrated in two main areas: first, telephone exchange centers, which provide services to the country’s largest companies in different fields and the second, computer programming. Talhami was General Manager of Delta Clothing Company distributed in 15 countries, participated in many public works through his membership in 14 associations and foundations.
