The Policy and Conflict Resolution Studies Center in AAUP announced that they have finalized the preparations of the third annual conference entitled “The Age of Populism” that will be held 22 Oct. 2021 and ends on 24 Oct. 2021.
This conference is out of the vision and academic and community responsibility of Arab American University, especially that this year it focuses on the “populism” that has grown during the past years and how this topic has exploit loopholes in the implementation of democracy in many countries of the world.
The conference will be held at the Arab American University via Zoom Webinar, and will host 15 international intellectual and academic from USA, Latin America, Europe and many Arab countries and Palestine.
This conference also specialized a whole session for presenting the research papers of MA and PhD students from the different Palestinian universities who submitted their papers to the conference.
The conference will subject many topics about populism such as the definition of Populism, its impact on the authority and on capitalism, globalization, and on media, and will be concluded with a round table discussion with specialized and experts who will address the effects of “populism” on the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.
