During which it hosted the Shari’a Court Judge of Jenin

The Faculty of Law at the Arab American University organized for its students a seminar under the title of "Judiciary Shari'a ... its Provisions and Foundations of Application”, during which it hosted the Shari’a Court judge of Jenin Sheikh Saleh Mar’ee.

The symposium aims at bridging the gap between theoretical subjects and practicality, and to take advantage from the experiences of the Shari’a judges’, and identify the provisions of 'Shari’a judiciary' and the foundations of its applications.

The symposium was opened by Head of Jurisprudence and Law Dr Khairuddin Taleb, emphasizing on the importance of cooperation and communication between the college and the Judiciary as this has a significant impact on students' understanding and absorbing the reality of their specialization, calling on students to exploit such symposiums and to take advantage of the specialists’ experiences.

In turn, professor of Islamic Jurisprudence at the Law Faculty Dr. Medhat Hamd stressed the importance of such seminars in order to build bridges of cooperation between the college and the Shari’a courts for the benefit of students at the Jurisprudence and law in terms of practical application, after they have received the theoretical education in this regard.

For his part, Jenin Sharia court judge Sheikh Saleh Mar’ee praised the role that the Arab American University does in hosting the specialists in order to transfer their practical experiences to the students, mentioning to the nature of work in the Shari’a courts and to the most important developments in the Shari’a judiciary.
