AAUP president Prof. Ali Zidan Abu Zuhri welcomed a delegation of the Heads and Representatives of Local and National Councils from the Palestinian 1948 Territories who visited the university to enhance further cooperation, communication and discuss student issues.
The delegation included heads and representatives of local and national councils from all regions of the Palestinian Territories from (Em AlFahem, Arabah, Excal, Tara’n, Eilboun, Kufer Kanah, Nazareth) where they were all welcomed by AAUP President, VP and directors.
During their visit a brief presentation was introduced to the delegation to present the latest achievements of AAUP on the academic level and project development, as it included the university’s future and current visions and plans to enhance further cooperation with the Palestinian 1948 Territories through various aspects. In addition to sharing ideas with academic and national figures from 1948 Territories in order to know the needs and latest requirements of their market to develop relevant programs for their children.
He stressed that the University is keen to provide all services to its students, and facilitate their registration and enrollment in the university, and provide modern and global education for them, and rehabilitation and training to be able to compete in the labor market in all specialization, to serve and build a civilized Palestine in all fields.
During the meeting, many ideas were presented by heads and representatives of the local and national councils in order to develop and enhance communication, to guide students, and to help all students who wish to enroll in the university, by increasing scholarships and to establish University Friends Institution to include all personals from West bank and the inside.
Furthermore, Public Relations Dept organized a tour around the university campus for the delegation, they visited faculties of dentistry, nursing and allied medical sciences. As they were able to meet some students during their tour and asked them about the teaching method at AAUP and what the university provides them. As they also visited the admission and registration building. And the university's sports village, which includes an international football stadium, sports gym, outdoor playgrounds and a semi-Olympic swimming pool, which the university plans to open soon.
