The Arab American Univeristy participated at the orientation day for the Tawjihi students of Al-Quds city under the name “ambassadors for Jerusalem”. This event was organized by the Ministry of Higher Education at Al-Quds University campus
Raed AbuBaker- the Media and Activities employee at the university and Ruba Al-Masry- an employee at the Admission and Registration Department were part of the Arab American University’s delegation.

The Arab American University got the first place at the written pleading during the international law contest “Philip Jesoub”, where students of six different universities participated at the contest.
This international law contest is considered one of the biggest formalism courts contests that have more than 550 universities of 80 countries.

Dr. Yousef Asfour- the Head of the Board of Directors at the Arab American University said: “Since that day when we started the Arab American University, we are working constantly to bring new academic programs. Our programs serve the Palestinian sectors and the national market needs. And now, we can see the new achievement for the university, the Graduate Studies centre in Ramallah that will be ready soon for all Palestinian people”.

Professor Ali AbuZuhri- the University President and Mr. Faleh AbuArrah- the Assistant to the President for the Administrative and Financial Affairs received a delegation for the Palestinian Islamic Bank who visited the university to discuss means of cooperation between the two parties.

The students at the Fiqh and Law Department of the Faculty of Law at the Arab American University organized a formalism court “Alimony” under the supervision of the Head of the Department Dr. Khair Aldeen Talib and Dr. Fadi Daraghmeh- a Professor at the university.
This court is the first of its kind at the department of Fiqh and Law and it comes as part of “the fundamental concepts of the Sharia courts” course.

The Fiqih and Law Department at the Faculty of Law organized a religious symposium in the memory of the prophet’s birth. The symposium was about Prophet Mohammad’s manners and aimed to encourage students to follow his sunneh.
Dr. Khair Al-Deen Talib- the Head of the Fiqih and Law Department at the university indicated that the faculty always seeks to organize such workshops and symposiums to high the educational and the Shara’i level of knowledge for students. He asserted that we all need to remember the prophet everyday and to get to know his manners and behaviour.

The Arab American University hosted a photography fair under the name “the Childhood and the shadow” that was organized by Al-Horyeh theatre in Jenin. This fair which was organized and prepared by the students who took a photography course is considered one of the activities that the Multimedia department at the theatre does.

The researcher Yousef Atatra – a student at the Applied Mathematics Masters discussed his thesis to get the Masters degree from the Arab American University.
At the end of the discussion, the Committee “Dr. Elias Dabet- the supervisor, Dr. Mohammad Manasra – the internal professor and Dr. Khalid Salah- the external Professor” decided to give Mr. Atatra the masters degree in Applied Mathematics.

The office of the vice-president for the Community Affairs organized a ceremony to honour 90 students who finished two training symposiums “the skills to finding jobs” and “Intel training” that was organized by the university with collaboration with the Palestinian Education for Employment Foundation.
