AAUP Receives Minister of Women's Affairs to Brief Her on the University's Achievements and Discuss Cooperation

Acting President of the University, Dr. Bara Asfour, has received Minister of Women's Affairs, Ms. Mona Al-Khalili, who visited the University to know about it, its academic programs and research centers, as well as to discuss prospects for cooperation in implementing programs of common interest.

The reception was attended by the Vice President for Academic Affairs, Prof. Hazem Khanfar, Assistant President of the University for Community Affairs, Dr. Laila Herzallah, Director of Public Relations, Mr. Firas Saifi, and Activities Officer in the Public Relations Department, Ms. Samah Dawahdeh. The Minister was accompanied by the Undersecretary of the Ministry, Mr. Daoud Al-Deek, and a number of the Ministry's staff, the Youth Affairs Officer and Women's Affairs Staff Coordinator in Jenin, Iman Nazzal, and a member of the Revolutionary Council of the Fatah Movement, Wafaa Afif.

Dental Students Take the Doctor's Oath at the Arab American University

The students of the Faculty of Dentistry at the Arab American University have taken the doctor's oath during a ceremony held under the auspices of the Acting President of the University, Dr. Bara Asfour, and with the presence of the Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Hazem Khanfar, the Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, Dr. Mohammed Jaradat, as well as members of the academic and administrative staffs of the Faculty and the University.

In a speech during the oath-taking ceremony, the Acting President of the University, Dr. Asfour, expressed his pride and appreciation for the new graduates, stressing that they represent a qualitative addition to the labor market in the field of dentistry. He also stressed the importance of the role played by the Arab American University in building specialized medical staffs, pointing to the efforts made by the Faculty to provide a distinguished educational and research environment.

AAUP Students Tour Archaeological and Historical Sites in Jenin Governorate

The Palestinian Bible Society, in cooperation with the Deanship of Student Affairs at the Arab American University, organized an educational trip to a number of archaeological and historical sites in Jenin Governorate for the sake of strengthening the national identity of Palestinian youth.

Around 20 students enrolled in the Effective and Wise Citizenship Training Program participated in the trip, and they were taken to explore the history of their homeland.

The tour included a visit to the old town of Jenin, whose neighborhoods and streets hold stories and tales of the past, and the ancient Burqin Church, which is a witness to the religious and cultural diversity in Palestine. The students also visited the historic Abdul Hadi Palaces in Arraba, which reflect the antiquity and authenticity of Palestinian civilization.

AAUP and Ajja Municipality Honor Top Students in the Town

In a step that reflects the interest of the Arab American University in supporting distinguished students and encouraging them to continue their educational journey. This is despite the circumstances experienced by our Palestinian people in various places of residence, the university, represented by the Public Relations Department, participated in cooperation with Ajja Municipality in honoring the top outstanding students.  They also honored successful students in the high school exams for 2024, in order to enhance knowledge, knowledge, challenge and success.

In turn, the Mayor of Ajja, Mr. Shaheen Omariya, expressed his pride and appreciation for the honored students, stressing that they represent the future of their town and community. He also thanked the Arab American University for its initiative to honor high school students in the town.

An AAUP Delegation Visits Tubas Municipality to Enhance Cooperation

A delegation from the Public Relations Department at the Arab American University has visited Tubas Municipality for the sake of enhancing joint cooperation and discussing the implementation of student programs and activities.

The delegation included the Director of Public Relations, Mr. Firas Saifi, and the Activities Officer, Ms. Samah Dawahdeh. The delegation was received by the Mayor, Mr. Abdul Hakim Abdul Razek, and a number of members of the municipality and its staff.

During the meeting, the two parties discussed ways to enhance cooperation by implementing a number of programs, and providing the municipality with expertise from faculty members and students in technological as well as other fields, in addition to organizing activities for school students.

The AAUP Heart Center Holds a Training Course on Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation

The Heart Center at the Arab American University, affiliated with the American Heart Association, and in cooperation with the Deanship of Student Affairs, Ramallah campus, organized a voluntary training course titled "Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation, Basic Life Support and First Aid".

The training course targeted a group of university students from medical and non-medical specializations, in which a number of Heart Center staff participated to present basic skills for cardiopulmonary resuscitation and first aid.

This initiative comes within the framework of the University's and the Heart Center's efforts to spread the culture of cardiopulmonary resuscitation and first aid, especially in light of the difficult security conditions witnessed by the various governorates of the country.

The AAUP Faculty of Information Technology Holds a Workshop Titled "How to Become a Technical Support Engineer"

The Faculty of Information Technology at the Arab American University has hosted a workshop titled "How to Become a Technical Support Engineer". This workshop was presented by a volunteer of the Jenin Technical Forum, Engineer Ashraf Fashafsheh, who has extensive experience in the field of technical support, networks, and infrastructure for technical systems.

This initiative is supported by the Faculty of Information Technology for the sake of building effective partnerships and constructive activities that contribute to developing the skills of students and graduates, and facilitating their integration into the labor market.

The workshop dealt with understanding and applying the standards and methods followed in the technical support departments of companies, whether in relation to computers, storage devices, servers, printers, networks, and their related accessories as well as support services.

The Arab American University Participates in the World Youth Day Event Held by the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports

A group of Arab American University students participated in an event organized by the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports on the occasion of World Youth Day, which also witnessed the participation of students from other Palestinian universities, coinciding with the launch of the event in the Gaza Strip.

The participating youth delivered a statement under the slogan "Standing Firm on the Certainty of Palestine", and at the inauguration, Arab American University student Mays Al-Reem Dar Musa gave a speech in which she reviewed the conditions of Palestinian youth, and pointed out the negative effects of the Israeli aggression on the age structure of the population, especially the young groups, and the deprivation of youth from their right to university education.

The Arab American University and Al-Quds University Discuss Prospects for Joint Academic and Research Cooperation

A delegation from the Arab American University headed by the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Dr. Yousef Asfour, and the Acting President of the University, Dr. Bara Asfour, visited Al-Quds University Within the framework of enhancing academic and research cooperation with national universities. The delegation included Board Member Eng. Anwar Badawi, and Vice President of the University for the Ramallah Campus, Prof. Dr. Mohammad Asia. They were received by the President of Al-Quds University, Prof. Dr.

Dr. Yousef Asfour stressed the importance and status of Al-Quds University, noting that it is a leading force in the academic and research fields. He added: "We at the Arab American University seek to enhance cooperation with Al-Quds University through joint programs and partnerships with experts and researchers to produce joint scientific research. We also aim to achieve the utmost benefit from the advanced laboratories and equipment at both universities."

The Arab American University Palestine and The Applied Science Private University of Jordan Sign a Memorandum of Understanding to Develop Academic Cooperation

The Arab American University Palestine, represented by its Acting President, Dr. Bara Asfour, and the Applied Science Private University of Jordan, represented by its President, Prof. Dr. Samiha Rajeh, signed a Memorandum of Understanding aiming at developing academic cooperation between the two universities.

The agreement includes areas of cooperation in terms of student and academic exchanges, scientific research, and the exchange of expertise between the two universities, in addition to organizing training workshops and scientific conferences.
