Biography:
Born in Arara village the district of Haifa, and attended the Orthodox Arab school for my high-school, specialized in mathematics and physics. I traveled to Saipan, a small island in the norther pacific ocean and lived there for a little more than 2 years, after which attended the Washington State University (WSU), in the field of Pharmacy then switched to Biochemistry. I returned home and attended my graduate studies at the HUJ, focusing my research on head trauma and specifically complication after close head injuries and elevation of ICP. I was employed by D-pharm, a pharmaceutical company developing products for the treatment of neurodegenerative disease, and was responsible for the pharmacological aspects of the developed products. In a joint collaboration with ELLI and Lilly, I was the delegate scientist traveling to Elli & Lilly sites to conduct further investigation on the developed products. After 4 years, decided to continue my academic graduate study to obtain my PhD from the Tel-Aviv University, while my research was focused on co-treatment of diabetes and hypertension, a high prevalence co-morbidities. I joined Pharmaseed as study director and later joined Teva Pharmaceutical leading project development from preclinical POC stages up to clinical submissions to regulatory authorities (FDA). My teaching was limited to TA and SA during my graduate schooling, but always had in mind to peruse an academic career. "Education is preparation for life but life itself"
