Biography:
Dr. Mahmoud Almanassra is currently employed as a full-time Associate professor in the field of Statistics in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at AAUP.
Dr. Mahmoud got his bachelors degree, in Mathematics from Hebron University. He received his Masters and Ph.D. degrees from Southern Illinois University - Carbondale (SIUC), U.S.A. His master's was in Differential Equations, and his Ph.D. is in Statistics- Survival Analysis.
Dr. Mahmoud began his career as an educator during his studies at SIUC as a teaching assistant. After he finished his Ph.D., Dr. Mahmoud worked at Wartburg College for around 3 years. After, he continued working in the United States at the University of Wisconsin Systems for about 10 years. Ever since leaving the states in 2015, he has been working at AAUP.
Dr. Mahmoud served in several administrative positions throughout his career in both the US and Palestine, such as the chair of the Mathematics department and the Dean of Scientific Research. He has also been an active member in several committees.
